We are thrilled to share our styled shoot recently curated at the historic Lark Distillery in Pontville, Tasmania. 

The reason we travelled to Tasmania for this shoot is our love for, and healthy obsession with, Tasmania – an island off an island, blessed with world-heritage listed wilderness, an internationally renowned food and wine scene and abundant historical architecture. 

It wasn’t until Lark Distillery, a majestic property with an incredibly rich and storied history, quietly announced they were on the cusp of opening up to weddings, that plans for a romantic creative collaboration were confirmed and flights booked.  

Situated a short 30 minute drive from Hobart, Lark Distillery is a meticulously restored whisky village with buildings dating back to the early 1800’s. Steeped in history and charm, the venue is nestled among scenic rolling hills – the perfect backdrop for weddings and of course, our whimsical creative affair. 

At the heart of our styled shoot lay the floral and table stylings. The floral arrangements were carefully curated to add an air of elegance and grace to Lark’s magnificent sandstone walls. The florals were of a whimsical design – adorning delicate cosmos, quicksand roses and the ever so stunning paniculata hydrangea. The dainty table settings transported guests into a world of refined charm. Delicate touches such as pears laced in bows and intricate vases of cosmos adorned with candles of varying heights, created a warm and intimate feel.

We hope this feature inspires readers to discover the allure of Tasmania's heritage sites for their own unique and memorable love stories. With its blend of old-world charm and contemporary elegance, Lark Distillery is without a doubt poised to become a coveted wedding destination - promising couples a day filled with beauty, romance, and stunning imagery.
